Information for Electrical Engineering (ET), Communications and Computer Engineering (IST) and Communication and Information Technology (CIT) Students for the winter semester 21/22

Study commission electrical engineering - state of the art

Dear students in electrical engineering courses,

we hope that you are doing well and that - despite the extraordinary circumstances - you are able to finish the summer semester successfully. You have received a lot of information for the winter semester from our Vice President for Teaching, Ms. Pollatos.  You can find detailed information about the winter semester here: Current information about studying at Ulm University

Current information: From the winter semester onwards, only people with a 3G certificate (vaccinated - tested - recovered) are allowed to take part in courses. Detailed information on the corona and 3G rules at the university can be found in this scheme.

Important information about theses:
- According to the decision of the examination board, students can register and start their theses with 15 CP less than specified in their respective FSPO
- Students of the Master Communication and Information Technology may start their thesis even if a maximum of two of the compulsory subjects are missing

We will keep you here up to date with all relevant information on the Electrical Engineering, Communications and Computer Engineering and Communications and Information Technology courses.

Here you will find a list of all courses planned for the upcoming winter semester. The list will show you which courses will take place On-site-, Combi-, Hybrid-, or in Online-Format. You can find more information about the various categories of teaching formats here: Explanation of the categorisation of teaching formats We will continuously update the list (Last Update 04.10.2021).

Fortunately, we can already tell you today that most of the courses (Laboratories and Projects included) in the electrical engineering department will take place. And many of them On-site!.

Please note that the possibility of holding on-site courses still depends on the development of the infection. Therefore, all events are being prepared in such a way that they can be offered online at short notice, wherever possible.

The list will contain a link to the campus management system ( for each course offered, under which you can find further information (such as a link to the teaching / learning platform Moodle) for the respective course.

Please inform yourself regularly on this page about current changes.

With the best wishes for your health,

Your electrical engineering study committee
