Scientific Writing and Publishing

The seminar is limited to 10 people and a pre-registration is required (e-mail to Jun.-Prof. S. Strehle)

The seminar, accompanied by exercises, will cover the key aspects and various kinds of scientific publishing comprising:

  • plagiarism, ehtics/Good-Scientific-Practice, general style issues
  • How to write a thesis (BA, MA, PhD): structure, writing process, ...
  • How to write an abstract and a scientific paper (letter, full-length, review
  • How to write research grant/scholarship proposals
  • Review processes
  • Data visualization and technical drawings
  • Introduction to Gimp, vector and 3D graphics
  • Key aspects of posters, and talks
