Mobile Interventions for Affective Disorders

This project is a collaboration between the Institute for Media Informatics and the Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Research Group. Its goal is the development and clinical evaluation of a health app for better care and therapeutic support for people with affective disorders like depression.

To achieve this, we rely on strong collaboration with clinicians and patients. Through an iterative human centred design process, we design, implement and evaluate mobile interventions both from patients and therapists perspectives. Our mobile intervention plattform is intended to support and enrich traditional behavioural therapy (blended care) but also help to prevent the onset of affective disorders in people with subclinical symptoms.
