Marcel Walch, M.Sc.

Marcel Walch studierte Medieninformatik an der Universität Ulm und erhielt dort seinen Master Abschluss im Jahr 2015. Seit April 2015 arbeitet er als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Doktorand im Institut für Medieninformatik. Als Teil eines interdisziplinären Forschungszentrums für kooperative, hochautomatisierte Fahrerassistenzsysteme und Fahrfunktionen konzentriert sich seine Forschung auf den Bereich Mensch-Maschine Interaktion und -Kooperation im hochautomatisierten Fahren. So untersucht Marcel im Rahmen des Verbundprojekts KoFFI (Kooperative Fahrer-Fahrzeug Interaktion) Kooperationsmöglichkeiten zwischen hochautomatisierten Fahrzeugen und deren Fahrern.

    Research Area: HCI in Automated Driving

    Current self-driving vehicles are able to drive autonomously as long as certain necessary conditions are met. How can highly automated vehicles and drivers overcome these limitations in a cooperative way? Theses in this area are supposed to investigate how car-driver interaction and the according user interfaces should be designed.
