Visual Computing Group

Led by Timo Ropinski, the Visual Computing Group specializes in transforming big and complex data into comprehensible information by developing and evaluating innovative data analysis methods. The outcomes are cutting-edge algorithms, state-of-the-art deep learning models, and interactive software.

The primary application areas are biomedicine and the natural sciences, where contributions are made to advance scientific understanding and innovation. We partner, with research institutions, healthcare providers and industry leaders; among others the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence, the Liebherr Digital Development Center, the Ulm Medical Center, the University Hospital Würzburg, the Robert Bosch Hospital, and the XAIRAD initiative.
