Visual Computing Group

Led by Timo Ropinski, the Visual Computing Group specializes in extracting insights from spatial data. Our research is dedicated to developing and evaluating innovative methods for visual data analysis, aiming to transform big and complex data into comprehensible information. We produce cutting-edge algorithms, state-of-the-art deep learning models, and interactive software.

Our primary applications are in the fields of biomedicine and the natural sciences, where we contribute to advancing scientific understanding and innovation. We partner both, with research institutions as well as industry leaders, such as the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence, the Liebherr Digital Development Center, and the XAIRAD initiative.
