Die Arbeitsgruppe Visual Computing in Biology and Medicine befasst sich mit Bildanalyse und Visualisierung im Anwendungsfeld der bildbasierten Diagnostik und Therapie in Biologie und Medizin. Sie ist Teil der Gesellschaft für Informatik e.G. Es bestehen enge Kooperationen zwischen der Arbeitsgruppe und anderen Organisationen, insbesondere der Deutsche Gesellschaft für computer- und roboter-assistierte Chirurgie (CURAC).
