• Getting to Ulm
  
  Ulm is a easily reachable by train (stop at the European main route Paris - Stuttgart - Munich - Vienna - Budapest). From the airports of Stuttgart and Munich take a local train to the respective central station and then a regional or long distance service to Ulm. From Frankfurt airport take a long distance service to Ulm. At the web page of the German Rail http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtml you can easily look up connections yourself.

• ETAP Hotel (Accomodation of scholarship holders, two bed rooms booked via organisers):

          The easiest way to get to the ETAP Hotel Ulm City, Neutorstrasse 16, 89073 Ulm from the main train station is to walk.
          It takes approximately 10 min. A  map can be found here.

• Get-Together on Sunday evening:

          The get-together on Sunday 09/09/12 at 19:00 o'clock takes place in the restaurant Hacker-Pschorr Wirtshaus, Sterngasse 17, Ulm
          which is close to the ETAP Hotel (see map).

• Conference venue:

   The lectures, courses and presentations take place at the main campus of Ulm University at "Oberer Eselsberg" Room H20.

• Transport to the university:

  Take bus number 3 from Ulm Hbf or Ulm Theater (directly in front of ETAP hotel) in direction Universität Süd or Wissenschaftsstadt. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the University (stop Universität Süd). We  recommend to buy a weekly ticket for the city of Ulm (German: Wochenkarte, Stadtgebiet UL/NU). It costs 17,80 € per week. You can buy a ticket in the ticket machines or in some special points, which are listed here. The easiest is to buy them at the machines at the main train station. • Departure is on Saturday 09/22/2012 - note that there is hopefully an optional excursion to a brewery in Ulm.
