We cordially invite you to our first Annual Cancer Day 2017 taking place at Reisensburg Castle from December 7th to 8th 2017 within our Research Group HEIST.
We have organized an interesting program including a set of key note speakers and project presentations.
Briefly, there will be three State-of-the-Art Speakers:
- Prof. Volker Ellenrieder: “Understanding Molecular Heterogeneity in precision pancreatic cancer medicine”
- Dr. Pierre Olivier Frappart: “DNA repair and Cancer”
- Prof. Lisa Wiesmüller: “The DNA damage response in breast cancer patients: Mechanisms and therapeutic implications”
The State-of-the-Art lectures are then followed by the project presentations structured as follows:
- Project overview by the PIs
- Progress Report by the students
- Total time: 35 minutes
We will also have a poster session to focus on individual projects in smaller groups. It is scheduled on the first symposium day from 17:15 to 18:00 and provides us a great opportunity to exchange ideas and to discuss concepts with other fellow students and PIs.
The size of the poster is DinA0 and there is a draft is attached. Please send your designed poster to the service point of Kiz for printing it out and bring it to our event. Please ensure that the posters are installed until the end of the first coffee break.
For further details, please find attached the final program.
For the correct planning, we need the exact amount of participants. Please indicate your attendance by a short email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are not able to attend this event, please inform Anja Haag as well. However the attendance of all HEIST students is mandatory.
If you have any further questions please contact Anja Haag.
We really look forward to meeting you!
