ProTrainU offers research funding for early stage researchers Anschubfinanzierung and a programme to cover travel costs when participating in conferences Mobility Programme.
For the Anschubfinanzierung, there will be a call for applications once a year, the next is expected later this year in autumn 2019. Please check this website again. The Mobility Programme is a continous programme without a fixed deadline. You can hand in applications at any time but at least four weeks prior to your travel. You can find further information and the conditions of the programme here (in German only, English version in preparation).
Ulm University offers four doctoral scholarships (LGF) starting 1st November 2019. Deadline for application: 23rd September 2019. You will find all necessary information (including calls in English and German, application forms in English and German) here.

In general: applying for funding is an essential task for every scientist in order to finance your research. Ulm University has established a structure to support members of the University in applying for external funding within the Center for Research Strategy and Support (Res.UL). Support for Female Scientists
