Dr. Maximilian Förster

Maximilian Förster is a post-doctoral researcher at the Péter Horváth Endowed Chair of Business Administration with a focus on Business Information Management at the Institute of Business Analytics at Ulm University. His research interests focus in particular on the areas of Explainable Artifical Intelligence as well as Social Media and Social Impact of IS.

Vita

Maximilian Förster, born in 1993 in Wangen in the Allgäu (Baden-Württemberg, Germany), completed his bachelor's degree in physics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (LMU; 2012-2015) and his master's degree in econophysics at Ulm University (2016-2018). He wrote his master's thesis at the School of Business and Social Sciences at Aarhus University in Denmark.

From May 2018 to November 2021, he worked as a research assistant at the Péter Horváth Endowed Chair of Business Administration with a focus on Business Information Management at Ulm University. In November 2021, he completed his doctorate on the topic "Impact of Information and Communication Technologies on Social Interaction - Contributions with a Focus on Social Media and Explainable Artificial Intelligence". Since December 2021, Maximilian Förster has been working as a post-doc at the Institute of Business Analytics at Ulm University. Among others, he leads the research group in the area of Explainable Artificial Intelligence.

Publications

Maximilian Förster is a reviewer and associate editor of international journals (e.g. Electronic Markets (EM), Information Systems Frontiers (ISF)) and conferences (e.g. International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS)). He publishes his scientific research contributions in the area of information systems in international journals such as Electronic Markets (EM) Business Information Systems Engineering (BISE) and presents the results of his work at international scientific conferences such as European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) or Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS).
