The Institute of Communications Engineering (in German: Institut für Nachrichtentechnik) conducts research in the fields of coding, reliable and efficient communications, information theory, signal processing, and dialogue systems. 

The institute is organized in the following research groups:

Open Research Position with perspective of a PhD degree

New Institute Established

The two institutes TAIT and IT have been disbanded on September, 30th 2011 and have been merged to the new Institute of Communications Engineering (in German: Institut für Nachrichtentechnik) under the direction of Professor Dr.-Ing. Martin Bossert on October, 1st 2011.
