Call for Demos

Demo submissions are invited to be included in the BPM 2009 Demonstration Track. The demo track is intended to showcase innovative business process management tools and applications, and will provide an opportunity to present and discuss emerging technologies with researchers and practitioners in the BPM field.

Demo submissions have to comprise:

  • An abstract describing the demo and a brief statement how conference participants will benefit from attending the demo and for what target audience the demo will most likely be of interest (this information will be made available to the conference participants in a booklet)
  • Detailed information on the demo presentation including a number of snapshots, or a screenplay
  • Information which illustrates the maturity, complexity, and robustness of the tool (e.g., availability of the tool, supported use cases, the number and types of users, list of features, etc.)
  • If available, a link to a web-page for the tool (with options to download the tool and/or watch a screencast).

In addition, authors can optionally submit a paper for inclusion in CEUR proceedings (http://ceur-ws.org). Demo papers have to (i) clearly state how the presented tools are innovative, (ii) describe their significance to the field of BPM, (iii) list their main functionalities and specify their maturity level, and (iv), if applicable, include brief descriptions of case studies performed using these tools, and pointers indicating where readers can find more information about these case studies. Paper submissions must have a maximum of 4 pages and they must adhere to the conference paper submission formatting guidelines.

Demo proposals should be submitted through the BPM conference submission system and will be reviewed by the demo reviewing team. Please note that there will be separate decisions for the demo presentation and the demo paper.
