Progress Reports

The PR groups will be organized by our Student Representatives and are a feature of the PhD-study regulations. We are very grateful for the support of our Student Representatives on this matter with which we follow sticking to the rules more precisely.

The PhD committee demands the attendance of (at least) 12 PR talks per semester and 1 given progress report per year. The chair of each session will coordinate the single PR-Sessions and is responsible for the attendance list. Please have in mind, cheating is a criminal act and will be avenged. If, for justifiable reasons, you cannot keep the date for your personal progress report, please arrange switching dates with other members and then

Due to organizational issues, please stick to your dedicated group. In case you are interested in a special talk/topic, or you have to join another session due to sickness or other good reason, you are naturally allowed to join this session.

Info for chairs => Please download the protected attendance list and contact the coordination office for the password. In the file, please fill in the yellow fields and send a scan of the attendance list to pr.iytk.igradu(at)uni-ulm.de - we are also happy to receive the originals by Hauspost or find them in the mailbox next to our office door.

Improve Your Textbook Knowledge

The lecture series "Improve your textbook knowledge" is a general introduction into different aspects of Molecular Medicine. The topics presented in the IYTK module should give you a broad overview of important topics in research with the focus on novel methods & their application in this field or state of the art findings that are so important they will appear in all textbooks soon.

The lecture series are compulsory for all first-year students of the PhD Programme. Students have to attend at least 85 % of the sessions in the first year of the PhD-studies. By way of exception the missing sessions can also be heard during the second year of the PhD-studies.

The lectures for the summer term 2026 are scheduled every Wednesday at 5.00 p.m from April 29, 2026, in M24 - H10.
