Doctoral award of Ulmer Universitätsgesellschaft for two IGradU alumni

Dr. Caterina Prelli Bozzo and Dr. Maximilian Hirschenberger laureats at Dies academicus 2026

Dr. Caterina Prelli Bozzo and Dr. Maximilian Hirschenberger are laureats for this year's doctoral award of the Ulmer Universitätsgesellschaft (UUG).

We are very proud of our IGradU two alumni who both finished their doctorate in 2024 with Summa cum laude! 

Caterina wrote her thesis on “Replication competent HIV-guided CRISPR screen identifies novel antiviral factors” at the Institute of Clinical and Molecular Virology. 
Maxi worked in the lab of Konstantin Sparrer, also Virology and publised his thesis with the title “ARF1 controls STING activation and recycling to prevent chronic type I IFN signalling”

The award ceremony takes place at the Dies academicus 2026, February 6.
