About

Simon Volpert manages the IT infrastructure at the institute. As a DevOps enthusiast, he focusses on automating physical and virtual infrastructure to ensuren experimentation happy environment with high availability and performance for research and teaching activities.

Research

His research focuses on performance engineering, specifically on assessing and quantifying performance isolation among competing workloads. Performance interference, or the so-called "noisy neighbor" effect in cloud and grid infrastructures, is the main focus of his work.
