Details on the 2026 Mobility Programme will be announced around the beginning of November.

As of: 12 Aug 2025

Ulm University allocates funds from its allowance acquired from the Excellence Strategy of the German federal and state governments to support junior researchers.

The mobility programme funds conference travel or journeys to visit co-operation partners on the condition of active participation in the event (e.g., oral presentation, poster).

Eligibility

Doctoral students and postdocs at Ulm University are eligible to apply.
Each person eligible to apply can only be funded once.

The following maximum funding amounts will apply for travel from 01 Jan 2024 onwards:

    EUR 1,000 for national travel
    EUR 1,800 for European travel
    EUR 2,800 for overseas travel


No advance payments can be granted.

How to apply:

  1. Please read the funding directive.
  2. Fill in and sign the application form and include proof of active participation (e. g., abstract plus confirmation of acceptance, or detailed invitation from host institution).
  3. Send hard copy of application form plus enclosure to ProTrainU Office.
