Yes, student dormitories are available. When registering, you choose the conditions that suit you. The accommodation costs approximately €300 per month. Upon move-in, a one-time deposit (Kaution) of approximately €600 is required, which is usually equivalent to two months' rent. This money serves as a security deposit for potential damages and is fully refunded upon departure if everything is in order. A deposit is required for any type of accommodation.

Yes. Germany has a state financial support program for students called BAföG. Under this program, students receive approximately €900 per month if their parents' income is low and they did not enter the country on a student visa. Students who are already in Germany under Paragraph 24 are eligible to apply for BAföG and typically receive funding. Additionally, students can apply for the DAAD-DUHN program scholarship. These scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. The selection is determined by the quality of the application in comparison with the applications of other candidates.
