In March 2026, the annual status seminar of the Institute of Numerical Mathematics Ulm took place at the Humboldt Institute in Bad Schussenried. Over the course of three days, professors and early-career researchers exchanged views on current developments in research and teaching.
The programme focused on presentations by doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers, who reported on the progress of their work. It was complemented by dedicated time for informal discussions, as well as a guided tour of Bad Schussenried.
In addition to its academic content, the seminar provided valuable opportunities for personal interaction. Particularly for doctoral researchers based off campus, who are only occasionally present at the institute, the event offers an important opportunity for networking and exchange.
