Applications

Recognitions of study and exam achievements can only be applied during the first semester at Ulm University.

Please contact the Study Abroad Consultation for information and application. 

The application for the recognition of study and exam achievements acquired abroad has to be filed within the the first semester at Ulm University following the stay abroad.

In order to apply for an extension of the time limit according to § 7 of the examination regulations, the following documents are required:

  • Application for an extension of the time limit with respective reasons
  • Accompanying letter to the extension of the time limit with the evidence of a study consultation by Dr. Rieber
  • Medical certificates for all relevant examination dates that could not be attended

Students may be granted to register for the bachelor’s thesis even if they have not yet fulfilled the requirements according to § 20 (1) a) and b) of the subject-specific examination regulations but are expected to complete the missing modules (maximum three) successfully in time context with the bachelor’s thesis. 
In this case, they are required to submit their application, incl. current overview of grades, in due time to the Examination Board.

After you have completed all examinations in the Bachelor's/Master's programme, you can make a mandatory selection of your profiles via the following app. You will then receive verification of the profiles you have taken together with your transcript: https://profilwahl.econ.mathematik.uni-ulm.de/

Important Informations

  • Please use the following template for cover and declaration:

  • In case of a non-disclosure notice (e.g. due to confidential corporate data), at least those who belong to the group of "professors and private lecturers of the faculty" should be given access to the data.
  • The application deadline for the thesis starts with the date of the last exam (and not with the announcement of the examination results).

The necessary signature for a BAföG applications (usually form 5 or "Studienabschlussförderung" for an extension) can be obtained from Vanessa Fink. Please fill out the form as much as possible beforehand.

Following courses can't be recognised as an English-ASQ.

For students who are or were enrolled in a study course in the summer term 2020, in the winter term 2020/2021, in the summer term 2021 or in the winter term 2021/2022, the deadlines for the completion of subject-related coursework and examinations shall be extended by one semester for each of these semesters, by a maximum of three semesters in total.

Please note in particular the information on registering for examinations by the deadline. If the registration period in the portal for an examination/seminar has elapsed, subsequent registration is no longer possible.

The courses that belong to the individual core areas or the Advanced Quantitative Methods Track (AQMT) in the Master's Programme in Business Administration and Economics according to the FSPO 2022 can be found here.

Transitional arrangements for the FSPO 2015 and 2017

For students who are studying according to the FSPO 2015 and 2017 and who have not yet passed the courses "Investition" or "Internes Rechnungswesen", this semester will offer an individual exam of 60 minutes each on the topics of "Internes Rechnungswesen" and "Investition". Please attend the course "Internes Rechnungswesen und Investition" this semester.

For students who are studying according to the FSPO 2015 and 2017 and have not yet passed the "Stockastik" course, a "Stochastik" exam will be offered this semester. The course "Wirtschaftsstatistik und Ökonometrie" will cover only a small part of the contents of "Stochastik". 
Therefore, an additional tutorial with Mr. Rapp has been set up, which re-prepares the additional contents of the former course "Stochastik".

 

For students who study according to the FSPO 2015 and 2017 and have not yet passed the courses "Wirtschaftsstatistik", the exam can be taken within the new course "Wirtschaftsstatistik und Ökonometrie". 
If you have not yet passed the preliminary examination of "Wirtschaftsstatistik", you have to successfully complete the first part of the exercise sheets in the lecture of Prof. Dr. Stelzer.
The exact implementation can be found in the "Announcements" section of the Moodle course on "Wirtschaftsstatistik und Ökonometrie".

 

Students who would like to take the exam "Econometrics" in the optional compulsory area of the FSPO 2015 and 2017 can take the exam within the new course "Economic Statistics and Econometrics" (compulsory course in the Bachelor WiWi FSPO 2019). In doing so, students will take the relevant part of the exam of "Economic Statistics and Econometrics", which will then be counted as an exam for "Econometrics".

Students who study according to FSPO 2015 and 2017 and have not yet passed the courses "Informationsanalytik und Visualisierung" can take the exam within the new course "Datenbanken und Informationsanalytik" (compulsory course in Bachelor WiWi FSPO 2019). In this case, the students complete the relevant part of the exam of "Datenbanken und Informationsanalytik", which is then counted as an exam for "Informationsanalytik und Visualisierung".

 

Students who study according to FSPO 2015 and 2017 and have not yet passed the course "Datenbanken" can take the exam within the new course "Datenbanken und Informationsanalytik" (compulsory course in Bachelor WiWi FSPO 2019). In this case, students take the relevant part of the exam of "Datenbanken und Informationsanalytik", which is then counted as an exam for "Datenbanken".

Submission of Documents

No public access is possible at the moment. If you would like to submit applications to the PA, please send the documents as a pdf file to pruefungsausschuss-wiwi(at)uni-ulm.de or use the mailbox outside the building at Helmholtzstraße 18.
