Welcome to the Institute of Microelectronics
The Institute of Microelectronics at Ulm University is a research institution within the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science and Psychology. Its work focuses on the research and development of modern integrated circuits and electronic systems. Key research areas include A/D converters with a focus on delta-sigma ADCs, implantable electronics for biomedical applications, sensor interface circuits, as well as further applications in hardware security and machine learning hardware.
The institute combines fundamental research with application-oriented development. Students and researchers benefit from the close integration of research, teaching, and international collaborations, enabling the institute to regularly contribute to high-impact scientific publications.
