Robert Heinrich is new W3 professor for Software Engineering

Ulm University

Starting in April 2025 Robert Heinrich is new W3 professor for Software Engineering at the Institute of Software Engineering and Programming Languages. Congratulations!

Robert Heinrich accepted an offer of the W3 professorship for Software Engineering at Institute of Software Engineering and Programming Languages starting in April 2025. Robert Heinrich received a doctoral degree from Heidelberg University and a habilitation from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

His research interests include modeling and analyzing software-intensive systems, for example from production and mobility, for various quality properties, such as security, performance and maintainability, to support evolution and adaptation.

Robert Heinrich heads the Quality-driven System Evolution research group. His group investigates the architecture-based modelling and analysis of software-intensive systems as well as the interplay of architectural design and implementation to analyze quality properties throughout the entire system life-cycle.
