Our paper “Predicting the Performance of ATL Model Transformations” authored by Raffaela Groner, Peter Bellmann, Stefan Höppner, Patrick Thiam, Friedhelm Schwenker, and Matthias Tichy won the Best Paper Award at the 14th ACM/SPEC International Conference on Performance Engineering 2023.

The research led by Raffaela Groner shows for the first time that machine learning approaches can be used to predict the performance of ATL model transformations with an average percentage error of 4%.

The paper is available as Open Access. The research was funded partially by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) – project number 358569332 – and supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg through bwHPC.
