Categorization of elective modules for the Master’s programmes

This page provides an overview of the compulsory elective modules and their categorization currently only for the M.Sc. Mathematical Data Science programme. Here you will find, on the one hand, links to the official information on the Campusonline university portal and, on the other hand, a categorized list of the compulsory elective modules that are offered in the current semester.
The particulars on this page are intended as a general guide. Binding particulars can be found in the examination regulations (PO and FSPO) and module handbooks, and may be obtained from the relevant examination board if necessary.

Information on categorization in the Campusonline university portal

In this section, you will find links to the official information on the Campusonline university portal regarding the categorization of compulsory elective modules with regards to the categories listed in the FSPO. Links are provided here only for the current examination regulations and only for modules that are graded.

Formally, there is a difference between courses and modules. However, in most cases, the names of the courses in the respective semesters correspond to the relevant module names, and courses often refer to a specific module description. This means that the correspondence between modules and courses is usually clear. If necessary, you can of course also ask the lecturers of the course for this information.

The information provided here is not to be regarded as definitive, and there are bound to be a few errors and omissions. Please do let us know if you spot any errors (email Manfred Sauter).

In the case of new elective modules, it may take until the start of the lecture period for the exact categorization to be entered into Campusonline.
