M.Sc. Luis Kraus
Luis Kraus studied electrical engineering at the University of Ulm, where he earned his B.Sc. in 2022 and his M.Sc. in 2026. The title of his master’s thesis was “Implementation of an Improved EOA-PUF in 16nm.”
While still a student, he worked as a student assistant in the field of hardware security at the Institute of Microelectronics. Starting in May 2025, he completed a 5-month internship at Bosch USA in the Corporate Research department in Sunnyvale, CA.
Since July 2026, he has been working as a research assistant as part of his Ph.D. program under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maurits Ortmanns. His research focuses on hardware security, particularly the development of Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) as a core component of secure electronics.
