Please note:
From Thu, 27 Aug to Wed, 16 Sept 2026, we will not be processing neither applications nor travel expense reports under the Mobility Programme.

Ulm University allocates funds to support scientific early-career researchers from the university’s block grant, which was secured as part of the federal and state governments’ Excellence Strategy. 

The mobility programme supports travel to conferences or to visit cooperation partners.

Requirements:

  • active participation (e.g. presentation, poster)
  • prior attendance at an event from the ProTrainU course programme
    (evidenced by a certificate of attendance)

Who can apply?

Doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers at Ulm University are eligible to apply.
Each eligible applicant may only receive this funding once.

The following maximum funding amounts apply:

    EUR 1,000 for national travel
    EUR 1,800 for European travel
    EUR 2,800 for overseas travel


Advance payments cannot be granted.

How to apply:

  1. Please read the funding directive.
  2. Fill in and sign the application form.
  3. Include the following documents:
    1. proof of active participation 
      (e.g., abstract plus confirmation of abstract acceptance by conference host. 
      For cooperation visits: invitation from host institution)
    2. certificate of attendance ProTrainU course
  4. Send hardy copy of application documents to ProTrainU office.
