Further Sources of Support

Depending on your concern, other university services may be able to provide support:
Faculty doctoral offices: For questions regarding subject-specific requirements, formalities and procedural matters
Doctoral Students Representatives’ Board (Proko): If you would like advice from fellow doctoral students on matters related to your doctoral thesis, supervision or conflict situations, you can contact the Proko. In addition to providing advice on these matters, the Proko represents the interests of doctoral students on various university committees.
International Office: International doctoral students and early-career researchers can seek advice and support from the International Office.
Office for Gender Equality: Female doctoral candidates and female academics can also receive individual advice and financial support from the Office for Gender Equality.
Contacts for discrimination, sexual harassment and violence
Commission 'Responsibility in the Conduct of Science': For questions regarding responsible and compliant research.
Res.UL:  Securing third-party funds is an important part of every researcher’s work. To assist members of Ulm University in applying for third-party funds, the University has established the Center for Research Strategy and Support (Res.UL), which provides advice and guidance on funding applications.
Technology transfer: If you wish to collaborate with companies or other organisations to promote your work or bring it to market, Ulm University offers you support. Your enquiries will be treated confidentially. Further information on technology transfer can be found here.
• We also offer career coaching for individual career-related questions.

In addition, ProTrainU provides interdisciplinary training programmes for doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers and junior research group leaders. The courses support personal and professional development and can help participants to further develop their communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
