Long, Short and Demo Papers

Requirements for papers

  • Content.
    In the paper it is necessary to describe the problems, the main subject of the research, achieved outcomes of the research, novelty of the results and areas of implementation.
  • Text structure.
    Name and surname of author(s).
    Name of university or organization, city and country.
    Title of paper (BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS).
    Brief 3-7 line abstract (italics).
    Text of paper.
    References.
  • Text length.
    1-2 А4 (210 mm х 297 mm) full pages.

    We distinguish between the following categories of submissions:

    • Long Research Papers are reserved for reports on mature research results. The expected length of a long paper should be in the range of 6-9 pages.
    • Short Research Papers should not exceed 5 pages in total. Authors may choose this category if they wish to report on smaller case studies or ongoing but interesting and original research efforts.
    • Demo Submissions - System Papers: Authors who wish to demonstrate their system during IWMMA12 may choose this category and provide a description of their system, installation, or demo. System papers should not exceed 5 pages in total.
  • Text format.
    Margins: right and left – 2 cm, upper and lower – 2.5 cm. Text, formulae, charts and tables should be prepared in MS Office 2003; Font – Times New Roman, size 12, paragraph – 0.5 cm; interline interval – single, letter and word spacing – normal; simple formulae should be typed as symbols (font Symbol), special complicated symbols and very long formulae should be typed in Microsoft Equation 3.0; tables should be enumerated consecutively; pictures should be arranged in the text with .tif add-in and be no less than 60 x 60 mm and no more than 110 x 170 mm, they may be scanned (in grey, 150 dpi); captions to the pictures should be of font size 10; page numbers should be indicated in pencil in the center at the bottom of the page.

Paper submission

Authors must upload to the submission system a doc file of the paper, which must be in accordance with the Paper Requirements
