Jonas Wessner
Jonas Wessner received his Bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt in 2022, followed by his Master's degree from TU Darmstadt and the University of Hong Kong in 2025. He is currently employed as a research assistant at the Institute of Distributed Systems, where he is pursuing his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Frank Kargl.
His research explores how large language models can support the analysis and management of network access control policies. In particular, he studies the use of AI and agentic approaches to reason about IT help-desk inquiries and automatically synthesize and deploy network access control policies. His most recent research works in this context are on LLM confidence estimation, ambiguity detection and privacy in chat bots.
