Our research traces trauma responses from organ crosstalk to the molecule, examining how danger signals, fluid-phase defence systems and immune cells connect injured and distant organs. Trauma-induced changes in the genetic signature, including epigenetic modulation, are also addressed. 
Combining clinical cohorts, experimental models and molecular analyses, we aim to predict and monitor immune and organ dysfunction and decipher why organ repair fails after trauma.
