Cell paper on "A Differentiation Checkpoint Limits Hematopoietic Stem Cell Self-Renewal in Response to DNA Damage" published

Universität Ulm

Congratulations to our PhD students Alexander Groß and Daniel Hartmann for their contributions to this paper.

In this paper Wang et al. identify a differentiation checkpoint that eliminates hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in response to DNA breakage and telomere dysfunction. Executed by BATF, the checkpoint impairs self-renewal of damaged HSCs by the induction of lymphoid differentiation.
