SYSTematischer Entwurfsprozess für SD A/D Umsetzer mit Parametrisierbarer Optimierung - SystEp

Designing CT SD Modulator Filters needs a good insight into the filter design, control theory and stability issues of SD modulators. Therefore archiving good filter characteristics is depending on the knowledge of the designer and the used techniques.

There are already tools existing for generating Discrete Time SD Modulator Filter Functions like the Schreier Toolbox for Matlab but these tools are on the one hand realized for discrete time design processes and on the other hand also limited to the tool constraints.

Due to the lack of feasible methods and tools for generating and especially optimizing the needed CT filter functions automatically one has to rely on and is limited to the handwork of the designer.

The goal of this project is to find and supply methods and tools that are able to optimize CT SD Modulator Filter Functions, Structures and Implementations for various goals like maximum signal to noise ratio (SNRmax), maximum stable amplitude (MSA) or feasible swing requirements at the integrators.
