Turn / Duration: every winter term / 1
Requirements (contentual): Teaching Methodology Computer Science I
Requirements (formal):
Basis for: Teaching Methodology Project of Computer Science
Learning objectives: Students - get to know teaching and learning software and can evaluate it according to didactic criteria; - can design computer science lessons using teaching and learning software; - can use teaching and learning software in a targeted manner in computer science lessons.
Content: The lecture presents and discusses teaching and learning software for designing computer science lessons in various domains, such as Filius for simulating networks or the BlueJ development environment for an introduction to object-oriented programming. The focus is on using the software to support teaching, e.g. for working out, practising and illustrating subject content and subject concepts. The students each present one of the software solutions. Among other things, they use concrete scenarios to show how the software can be used in class and where its possible limitations lie.
