Workshop on Lévy processes and time series: in honour of Peter Brockwell and Ross Maller

The aim of this workshop is to bring together leading experts in the fields of time series analysis, Lévy processes and related topics. It is on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Peter Brockwell and the retirement of Ross Maller, to celebrate their pioneering academic achievements in these areas.

The workshop takes place at Ulm University  from Monday, September 11th to Friday, September 15th, 2017.  The workshop starts on Monday at around 9 a.m. and ends on Friday afternoon. There will be a reception with poster session on Monday evening and a conference dinner on Thursday evening.

Registration

A registration form can be found here. If you wish to attend the workshop, please fill out the registration form and send it back to Eva Nacca via e-mail, fax (please use the fax number given in the form) or regular mail by September 1st , 2017.

If you want to apply to present a poster, you have to register before August 15th, 2017. Please use the following template for your abstract. A notification about the accepted posters will be emailed.

Please note that the conference fee is 80 EUR -including VAT, coffee breaks and conference dinner- for all participants and should be paid by September 1st, 2017 (see above pdf file for bank details). The Conference Dinner will take place in the restaurant "Drei Kannen" on Thursday, September 14th at 7 pm.

Venue and Travel information

The international airports closest to Ulm are in Stuttgart, Munich (München) or Frankfurt.

There are several  train connections to Ulm. You can check train connections under the website of the "Deutsche Bahn"

From Frankfurt airport, there are some direct trains to Ulm which need about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and some other connections that take a bit longer. From Munich airport, you have to go first to München Hauptbahnhof (approx. 45 minutes) and then take a train to Ulm (approx. 80 minutes). From Stuttgart airport, you usually have to change at Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, and the whole trip takes about 1 hour 45 minutes.

You can reach Ulm by car via autobahn A8 (Munich, Stuttgart) or the A7 (Würzburg, Kempten).
