From 11 to 13 September 2025, the Chair was represented at this year's EARNet Symposium (European Auditing Research Network) at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Andreas Lorenzer and Tatjana Juppe attended the event on behalf of Ulm University, where they also presented their current research project. The discussion and feedback from the international audience on the presentation provided valuable impetus for further work on the EU Omnibus Initiative project.
The symposium also offered the opportunity to take part in exciting discussions on current topics from the fields of artificial intelligence in auditing, audit quality, professional scepticism, fraud and accounting scandals and sustainability assurance.
The exchange with the numerous international participants was an enriching experience and enabled the establishment of new contacts as well as interesting insights into various research approaches from the international arena.
