Die Core Facility EMMA wurde 2023 als zentrale Messeinrichtung gegründet, um die Forschungs- und Lehraktivitäten an der Universität Ulm zu unterstützen. Wir stellen Forschenden und Studierenden allgemein genutzte Ressourcen zur Verfügung, um den Austausch von Ideen und Fachwissen zu erleichtern. Unsere Messinstrumente decken ein breites Spektrum chemischer Charakterisierungstechniken ab (s. Core Units). We added a new Powder-XRD to our facility. The instrument was co-funded by the DFG under the program 91b. This instrument operates in transmission mode and is a good complement to the reflection measurements provided by the X'Pert Pro instrument.

We added a new SC-XRD to our facility. The instrument was co-funded by the DFG under the program 91b. This instrument is particularly suited for analyzing small and weakly-diffracting crystals.

At the end of Summer 2025 we expanded our materials characterization abilities with the addition of Malvern Panalytical X'Pert Pro X-ray Diffractometer (formerly a part of the X-ray Service-Institute of Inorganic Chemistry II). We are now able to offer powder diffraction measurements!
