Welcome to the Institute of Quantum Matter

We investigate the fascinating physics of ultracold atoms and molecules in three laboratories.  Particular focus points are on ultracold few-body collisions, particle correlations between particles and chemical reactions.  We work with bosonic and fermionic samples, with ions and neutral particles.

Additionally, we work on understanding complex 2D materials and create new photonic functionalities.
