Core Facility Organoids

Abstract:

Organoids are 3D structures with self-organization and self-renewal capacity reflecting the tissue from which they were derived. The Core Facility Organoids has a strong focus in the generation of tumor organoids from different entities, like pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer or cholangiocarcinoma. Starting from adult tissue, progenitor or stem cells are isolated and cultured in an extracellular matrix layered by media containing specific growth factors and cytokines for organoid expansion. We would like to introduce you to our services which include organoid establishment, biobanking and along with method trainings to translate this special cell culture system also to your laboratory. Human tumor organoids are a promising tool in research and personalized medicine – let your project also benefit from this technology.

Furthermore, we will introduce you to the area of 3D bioprinting, where innovation meets precision. By layering biological materials, such as cells and biomaterials, it is possible to fabricate complex structures with incredible accuracy,mimicking the natural building blocks of life. Dr. Fatemeh will give an overview of the available BioAssemblyBot400, a state-of-the-art 3D printer from Advanced Solutions, and presents some of the already realized printing projects.
