International Conference ‘Order and Disorder in Random Geometries: Hyperuniformity and Topological Data Analysis’

From 6 to 10 July 2026, the international conference ‘Order and Disorder in Random Geometries: Hyperuniformity and Topological Data Analysis’ took place at Schloss Reisensburg, the Science Centre of Ulm University in Günzburg.

The event was a joint conference of Australian National University, Ulm University, and the German Aerospace Center (DLR). It brought together 54 participants from 12 countries and featured 7 plenary lectures, 26 invited talks, and 16 poster presentations. The scientific programme addressed current developments in hyperuniformity, random and stochastic geometry, topological data analysis, persistent homology, point processes, random fields, disordered matter, materials science, biology, and machine learning.

The scientific committee consisted of Michael A. Klatt, Vanessa Robins, and Evgeny Spodarev. The organisational team included Carolina Vieira Fernandez, Christian Bair, Mikhail Chebunin, Vsevolod Chernyshev, Patrick Falk, Albert Fitz, Philipp Gräfensteiner, Yanzhi Guo, Michael Juhos, Luca Lotz, Duc Nguyen, Dominik Pabst, Chris Reinke, Joel Steinegger, and Ilja Sukhanov. The inspiring setting of Schloss Reisensburg provided an excellent atmosphere for exchange between internationally renowned experts, young researchers, and PhD students.
