The train station closest to Castle Reisensburg is Günzburg. The train station Günzburg is located at the line Stuttgart - Ulm - Augsburg - Munich. The nearest major airports are Munich and Stuttgart. There is no public transportation from the train station Günzburg to Castle Reisensburg, hence you are advised to take a taxi.
Footpath from the train station to Castle Reisensburg:
At the train station, turn left to Siemens-Straße and further to Dillinger Straße (B10 and B16), then after ca. 250m left into the Reisensburger Straße, that later turns into Günzburger Straße, finally turn left to Weihergasse up to Castle Reisensburg.
Hint: We will charter a bus that starts at Ulm train station on Sunday, November 26th, at 16:30 h, it will stop at Günzburg train station at around 17:00 h and will take us to the castle. Likewise, after lunch on Wednesday, November 29th, at 13:30 h a bus will also take us back to Günzburg train station, then Ulm University and Ulm main train station, which will be reached at about 14:30 h.
Departure of bus on Sunday, November 26th: Due to the many construction sites in Ulm, the bus will not leave directly from the train station, but rather from the Ulm bus park at the Glöcklerstraße which is a 6 minute walk away from the train station (see the map at the bottom of this page).
From the freeway exit Günzburg (A8):
Take B16 towards Günzburg / Reisensburg. Turn left onto B10 / Dillinger Str. direction Reisensburg, then left into Reisensburger Str. After ca. 700m straight ahead on Günzburger Str. Turn left into Georg-Lacher-Str., after ca. 300m again left into Bürgermeister-Johann-Müller-Str.
From Ulm (B10):
Take B10 from Ulm to Günzburg. In Günzburg, turn right into Dillinger Str., direction Reisensburg, then left into Reisensburger Str. After ca. 700m straight ahead on Günzburger Str. Turn left into Georg-Lacher-Str., after ca. 300m again left into Bürgermeister-Johann-Müller-Str.
