Prof. Dr. Andre Guettler
Director of the Institute
André Guettler holds a doctoral degree from Goethe University Frankfurt. Prior to joining Ulm University in April 2013, he was an assistant professor and Heisenberg scholar at EBS Business School. Since January 2026, he has been a member of the university council at the German University in Cairo. His current research focuses on cryptocurrency markets, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and agentic AI.
He has visited the National University of Singapore, the University of Texas at Austin, Tilburg University, Coppead Business School, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The German Science Foundation (DFG) has supported four of his research projects and his Heisenberg scholarship. From June 2016 to May 2025, he was appointed Research Professor at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH).
