Workshop on ePDF

Registration is now open

Registration

September 1st-2nd, 2021 online

The workshop will comprise two and a half days of lectures by renown international researchers complemented by ample opportunities for discussions. The topical focus is devoted to electron scattering phenomena beyond Bragg diffraction, calculation of pair distribution function from electron diffraction data (ePDF), interpretation of the data and the strength and limitation of the method. The broad range of topics and lecturers aims to open up new perspectives and will help participants to identify synergies in existing research and give rise to new ideas and initiatives.

Program

The program will include sessions devoted to

  • the methodology of PDF and its applications
  • the specialities of electron total scattering data collection, processing and interpretation
  • present modern software for ePDF calculation
  • refinement of ePDF data
  • applications of Debye scattering techniques for electrons
  • ePDF calculation from textured diffraction data
