In the Danube Networker at Work (DANET) project (November 2011-November 2012), six partner groups from Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania each performed four city forums on key issues of the Danube Strategy. The results were posted on the internet and discussed further there. In a transnational seminar in Sibenik, Croatia, the discussions were personally continued. At the final seminar in Wiesneck, Germany, representatives of all senior groups analyzed the results and drafted a resolution that was presented to European parliamentarians in a presence and videoconference (MdEPs Ms Jeggle, Ms Ticau and Mr Theurer). For the project results, we also shoot a film that will be released as a DVD in the near future, once again highlighting the concerns of the institutions and the seniors themselves. The latter also express their willingness to actively participate in social developments and future issues. The project was carried out as part of the European Citizenship program with further support from the Eastern Europe Office of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung, the ZAWiW Förderkreis and the ViLE e.V.
