SihMobil - Senior Internet helpers as technology ambassadors

Social media and mobile Internet mediated by older people for elderly
The project "Senior Internet Helpers as Technology Ambassadors" conveys the possibilities and benefits of social media, social networks and the mobile Internet. With the help of tablet PCs, such as social media and mobile Internet can be meaningfully integrated into the everyday life and the life of older people. The senior Internet helpers act as role models, but also give help and guidance and show the social and human side of technology. In addition, other technical applications for everyday life (AAL) such as telemedicine, residential technology, independent life guidance, as well as support during the care are shown.
As part of the project, senior internet assistants are technically, contentally and methodically qualified in a mini-seminar and through webinars. On-site meetings are held together with the senior internet initiatives and other cooperation partners.
The sihMobil project is conducted together with the MFG BW and the ZAWiW of the Ulm University under the management of the sii BW network. The project is supported by bmbf from October 2013 to September 2014 within the framework of the Senior Technology Ambassador.
