Due to the Russian aggression in Ukraine, student exchanges with Russian universities are currently not taking place. This decision of our faculty is in accordance with the recommendations of scientific organisations in Germany such as DFG, DAAD and BMBF.

 

Study Exchange Programm with National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russian

There has been a student exchange with the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow since the winter semester 19/20. Every year, four Bachelor or Master students from the University of Ulm can study at the HSE. Under the following LINK you will find a range of information and pictures of the university.

The exchange is especially for mathematics and CSE students. On request, students of economics can also be considered for the exchange.

Further information about the HSE can be found here. The HSE is particularly distinguished by its versatile English-language lecture programme and is therefore also excellently suited for students with little to no knowledge of Russian.

The application process is handled by the International Office (Bilateral Programmes). The application deadline is 31 October for the following academic year. 

It is possible to apply for a Baden Württemberg scholarship at the International Office. The contact person is Mr. Daniel Kanzleiter.

 

Study and Research Exchange Programm with Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech), Moscow, Russian

Master's students and doctoral candidates can spend a period abroad at Skoltech in Moscow. Information about Skoltech can be found here. The lecture programme is in English. The exchange is intended for mathematics and CSE students in the Master's/PhD programme.

Prerequisites are an interest in research (Bachelor's or Master's thesis, doctorate) and good academic performance (average grade at least 2.0).

Study and Research Exchange Programm with Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), Russia


For many years Ulm University has maintained close relations to the  MSU in Moskau, regarded as the best university in Russia and famous for its research-oriented Mathematics Institution.  Study visits of German students and doctoral candidates at MSU are supported  for a period of up to six months.  Students who wish to take part in the programme need to be interested in research (bachelor's thesis, master's thesis, doctoral degree) and have good grades (average grade 2.0 or better).
