Inhalt

  • The students understand the architecture and technical fundamentals of blockchains and other distributed ledger technologies (DLT) and can classify and evaluate technologies with respect to requirements. They also know common techniques for privacy protection in blockchain-based systems.
  • The students understand applications of the blockchain and other DLT on financial markets and in other scenarios. They can classify and evaluate examples of currently widespread crypto assets. They are able to analyse new business models of decentralised finance and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Students will gain real life experience by sending and receiving crypto assets and creating and issuing their own NFTs.
  • The students understand the basic structures of the legal framework for applications of blockchain and other DLT in Europe, especially on financial markets. They know the most important legal foundations in contract and property law, banking supervisory law, capital market and securities law, money laundering law, data protection law and accounting and tax law. They can define requirements for the compliance organisation and classify and evaluate different forms of blockchain governance.
