Frederick William Ayer

Frederick William Ayer is an American in Ulm. Originally from California, USA, he has been living and working in Ulm since 1991 both as an artist and a writer (he has been a member of the P.E.N. Club, Germany since 1981). He has been artist in residence at the University of Ulm since 1993, working with students, organising numerous symposia and exhibitions (he is an appointed member of Ulm University’s Art Commission), and his own art work has been exhibited internationally. As a writer he has published both prose and poetry (e.g. his remarkable volume Woman at Apocalypse New York / USA 2002). He is a speaker at the World Congress for Communication and Art. Above all, he is a member of the human race.
