What a success for the Ulm University Medical Center! The Collaborative Research Center on Trauma Medicine is extended for the second time by the German Research Foundation (DFG). For the third funding phase, the SFB 1149 "Danger Response, Disturbance Factors and Regenerative Potential after Acute Trauma" will now receive over 11 million euros. "We are overjoyed about the DFG's decision and are pleased that we will now be able to continue our research into how to improve the treatment of severely and most severely injured people over the next four years," explains SFB spokesperson Professor Florian Gebhard, Medical Director of the Ulm University Department of Trauma, Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
