Beyond boundaries: the new human-machine interfaces that will change our lives

In this lecture Dr. Andrade will introduce you to emerging technologies that exploit biomedical signals for the implementation of human-machine interfaces. The following topics will be covered: 1. The new neuroscience of connecting brain with machines and 2. The research work on human-machine interaction carried out at the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory, Federal University of Uberlândia, Brazil.

Adriano O. Andrade is Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering. He teaches Digital Signal Processing, Computer Architecture and Organization, Programming languages, Human Machine Interface, Telemedicine as well as Systems and Signals for Bioengineers and Biostatistics.

He is also Head of the Laboratory of Biomedical Engineering of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
