The biological sciences comprise a key scientific discipline in the 21st century. At Ulm University, students in Biology, Biochemistry as well as Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology are trained in a practical and research-oriented manner according to our guiding principles of teaching. Content and qualification goals build on a solid scientific basis. The topics of our research on "Resiliance of challenged biological systems" are included in advanced modules of our teaching programmes. In this way, graduates of the above-mentioned courses are prepared for tackling major global challenges, for example in regard to the consequences of climate change or in the health sector.
